It's like comedians, they are on stage and they make a fool of themselves just to get a laugh from the audience. The same goes for the beasts I create, they are the comedians in my pictures. The reason why I chose Chinese stone beasts to create is that their silly and ugly appearance is enough to play the role of an animated film without any processing and carving. This is a unique aesthetic handed down from traditional Chinese artists, and the sense of humor from the outside to the inside and back to the outside is worth savoring over and over again. This kind of temperament cannot be found in foreign cartoon characters.
